Intrum Justitia

Please note that if you want to speak or complain to this creditor, you need to contact them directly. We’ve added their contact details below. We (Debt Line) can only help you with your creditors if you’ve entered into a debt solution (for example, a Debt Management Plan) through us.

Intrum Justitia is a debt recovery company.

They buy debt that is in arrears from finance companies, telecommunications suppliers and other companies that you may have fallen behind on your repayments to. Despite them usually buying the debt for much less than you owe, they will often chase you for the full amount of the debt.

Many debt recovery companies have been accused of trying to force customers to pay more than they can afford each month. This breaks rules set out by The Office of Fair Trading.

If you are experiencing problems with repaying Intrum Justitia debt,  fill in our simple form on the right and we’ll call you back to see if we can help.

We never charge you any upfront fees for our initial advice and will only recommend a solution that is right for you based on your circumstances. To find out more about our fees, please click here.

    "Unfair practice"

Intrum Justitia continue to threaten me with legal action after being notified that the debt was statute barred, claiming that I hadn't responded, although I have proof of delivery of two separate letters I sent them. The company, with this office based in St. Albans, also uses a letterhead with an Irish address on it which is purposefully misleading. The UK address seems to be "forgotten" off some of their letters.

The offices of Intrum justitia are automated and controlled from Germany. Apart from servicing no-one works there which is why it is so difficult to get a response. E-mail them direct and use the new regulations against them. They are reqiured to use all reasonable care to ensure that the debt is genuine.
